Drivers from around the country tested their skills at the Forgeline Grass Roots Motorsports Road Course Challenge, a popular attraction at Holley LS Fest year after year contested on the NCM Motorsports Park course not far from Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, KY. David Cordner came out on top in the always tough Stock division, hammering his brand-new Camaro to a best time of 1 minute, 36.363 seconds. In the Street Prepared class, it was David Schardt emerging victorious with a best of 1:33.137 at the wheel of his ’04 Corvette. Johnny Chickowski was tops in the Race Class category with a time of 1:35.402 in his speedy LS-powered Mazda Miata.

Most Improved honors went to Melvin Heflin, who wheeled his ’15 Corvette to a solid 1:36.363 effort. A pair of special awards also were handed out: Editor’s Choice and Best Engineered. Editor’s Choice went to Jeremy Butts for his ’14 Chevy SS, and Joe Remke took home the Best Engineered award for his ’88 Porsche 944.
