When the smoke settled and the sound of GM’s LS V8 engines ceased following the last tandem battle of the 2018 Lucas Oil Drift Challenge, there were three podium finishers remaining inside the drift challenge course at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Brandon Sorenson and his E46 BMW battled it out against Noah Michaels and his Torqstorm supercharged S13 Nissan 240SX and came out on top, taking home $1,500 in prize money and a set of Fortune Auto coilovers. Colorado resident Ian McDougall piloted his teal green LS powered S14 Nissan 240SX to third place. Each of the winners took home custom engraved Grip Royal steering wheel trophies coated in the appropriate podium colors or gold silver, and bronze.
